Week three has been another busy week in class four. We have been learning about 2D and 3D shapes. We studied each shapes properties and tried our best to remember the names of each 3D shape. We are going to try to identify lines of symmetry on the shapes next.
We have also been very busy trying to put the finishing touches to our Viking feast. We designed helmets and painted them to look like metal.
We had to use our measuring skills to make sure the paper was cut to the right length and then work together to help each other put them together.
We worked in pairs this week to write a menu for the feast. We had to check our spelling was accurate and that we had presented it neatly.
Our table decorations are nearly complete for the feast too. We are looking forward to sharing our learning with our families.
The last piece of our feast is the longship...we have been very busy planning and making the ship. We had to look carefully at our design sheet to make sure we were following our plan.
We have made some shields for the side of the boat.
The main body of the boat...
A sail...
And plenty of oars for us to roam the seas!
We are very excited for the Viking feast next Tuesday and really hope you can make it share our learning with us.
