Term 2 week 4

It has been another busy week in Hoy class this week.  We have been busy learning about Viking artefacts and Viking clothing.  We have nearly finished the information to make our Viking museum so watch this space in the coming weeks!

This week we have learnt a lot about Viking clothing.  We found out that the Vikings used materials which were natural and could be found from animals or the land.

We got ourselves into groups then we had the challenge of making a life sized cut out of a Viking in their appropriate clothing.

We then worked together to paint the Vikings.

We are very proud of our efforts.  We think you'll agree we have done a great job making Vikings.  We have a Viking warrior, blacksmith, woman, child, farmer and merchant.

We have set out all the artefacts which Sandra has let us borrow so we can see them clearly for using in our museum.

We hope to have our museum finished next week.

During games with Lorna this week we were working on our hand and eye co - ordination. We had to try really hard to balance balls on our bats.  We then had a relay race where we had to hit the balls in the air then catch them on the bat again.  It was very tricky!
