Class Four read the Eric Carle classic The Very Hungry Caterpillar then worked hard to show a detailed diagram of the lifecycle of a butterfly. We used rice to show the butterflies eggs, then different shapes of pasta to show the caterpillar, the chrysalis and the butterfly. 
We have been closely observing the growth of our own caterpillars in class. They started of very small but have quickly become much larger after eating their food.
We also have some other friends in class! We were given some tadpoles which we are now carefully monitoring to see their growth.
